Shubahnshu Shukla Returns to Earth

Shubhanshu Shukla Earth Return Live Updates: The Axiom-4 (Ax-4) mission carrying Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla and three other astronauts, splash down around 3:01 pm IST on July 15.

Shukla, along with three other Ax-4 astronauts, had undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) at 4.45pm on Monday. The capsule’s de-orbit burn began at 2.07pm Tuesday, after which it descended towards Earth, deploying drogue and main parachutes before splashdown.
Shubhanshu Shukla, trained by the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro), is the first Indian to reach the ISS via a private spaceflight.

During their 18-day stay aboard the orbital outpost, the Ax-4 crew conducted a series of scientific and outreach activities as part of the mission.

The crew’s splashdown on Earth is expected at approximately 3:00pm IST on July 15, with a one-hour margin of variation.
