Mumbai, India – Shah Rukh Khan, widely celebrated as the “King of Bollywood,” is now making waves far beyond the film industry. With a ₹300 crore investment into the Ashika Group, SRK is stepping into the elite circle of serious investors shaping India’s financial future. This strategic move is part of a massive $1 billion funding round backed by 28 prominent family offices.
The Investment That Turned Heads
Ashika Group, a fund management and financial services company, has caught the attention of industry watchers after securing this landmark funding round. SRK’s participation — through his family office — signals more than just capital infusion; it marks confidence in the firm’s innovative approach to wealth management.
What makes this partnership stand out? Ashika Group offers a diversified portfolio of services including stock broking, investment banking, alternative investments, and family office advisory — all while charging just 1% of the profits, significantly lower than industry standards.
Led by Pawan Jain and Daulat Jain, Ashika Group’s listed firm, Ashika Credit Capital, closed at ₹387 on June 23, witnessing minimal movement but maximum attention.
SRK’s Portfolio Power Moves
This isn’t Shah Rukh Khan’s first step into strategic investing. With an estimated net worth of $876 million (₹7,549 crore) as of February 2025 (Esquire), he has backed a string of successful ventures. His portfolio includes:
- Red Chillies Entertainment
- Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
- Dreamz Unlimited
- Kidzania India
- Numi app
- Real estate investments in Dubai, London, Alibaug, Delhi, and the US
- Recently, SRK also invested ₹10 crore in Shri Lotus Developers, headed by producer Anand Pandit, and has funded Mythiki, a media-tech firm founded by Freecharge’s Jason Kothari.
A New Kind of Stardom
Shah Rukh Khan’s involvement in the Ashika Group isn’t just a financial move — it’s a statement. In an era where celebrity investors are often seen as mere brand faces, SRK is leveraging his capital and credibility to back ventures that drive long-term value.
From the glitz of red carpets to the grit of financial markets, Shah Rukh Khan’s journey reflects a deeper evolution — that of a cultural icon maturing into a global business force.
